Village Veliky Ustyug

Sights:
Veliky Ustyug can be compared to a precious box. Opening it, you'll be amazed to see this provincial town from different sides:

- as a town of artisans who have created unique crafts, the most famous of which is silver niello;
- as a town of great travelers who left their names on the map of Russia, merchants who brought glory to the town, and locally revered saints.
- as a town of picturesque natural landscapes, encompassed by 15 natural monuments and 7 nature reserves.
The Veliky Ustyug District also reveals itself as a true Russian village, with its rural way of life, eloquent chatter, and potato shangi.

The "Ustyugkhleb" company is one of the largest producers of confectionery and bakery products. Cakes, cookies, marmalade, caramel, gingerbread, and bread are widely represented in the company's product range.
The "Pchelka" company produces over 70 types of semi-finished meat products: dumplings, cutlets, zrazy, cabbage rolls, meatballs, minced meat, shashlik, and much more.
The Veliky Ustyug "Bavaria" Brewery. In addition to beer, the plant produces kvass and soft drinks such as Buratino, Duchess, Kolokolchik, Apelsin, and Cola, as well as Veliky Ustyug Crystal drinking water.
The Veliky Ustyug Distillery is one of the oldest enterprises, founded in 1901. It produces over 30 types of alcoholic beverages, including vodka, sweet and bitter liqueurs, balsams, and aperitifs.
In Veliky Ustyug, the Snezhinka restaurant has opened a cheese production line: Ragusanino, Fiolotti, Caciotta, Caciocavallo, Mozzarella, Feta, and Halloumi.

How to get there:
There are several ways to get to Veliky Ustyug:
- Train: take any train from Moscow's Yaroslavsky Station (Moscow-Syktyvkar, Moscow-Kotlas, Moscow-Vorkuta, Moscow-Labytnangi) or St. Petersburg's Ladozhsky Station to Yadrikha or Kotlas stations. Regular buses and taxis run from Kotlas (60 km to Veliky Ustyug). - Highways: Moscow-Vologda-Velikiy Ustyug, Arkhangelsk-Velikiy Ustyug, St. Petersburg-Vologda-Velikiy Ustyug, Uren-Sharya-Nikolsk-Ustyug-Kotlas. The road is well-marked with directions to Velikiy Ustyug.
- Airport: Flights from Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Cherepovets.
