Palekh is a small village in the Ivanovo Region, known for its icon painting traditions and the production of exquisitely painted lacquerware. This village is one of the centers of Russian folk culture and art.
This ancient, small village is listed as a historical town in Russia, part of the "Golden Ring of Russia," and since 2011 has been part of the "Fairytale Ring of Russia" project, as Palekh is the recognized birthplace of the Firebird. Palekh art, an incredibly diverse and exceptionally valuable heritage, has made Palekh a cultural phenomenon of the 20th century. Today, Palekh also attracts visitors with its art festivals and unique atmosphere, combining nature, antiquity, and the enthusiasm of contemporary artists.

Ivan Golikov House-Museum, Palekh, Lenin Street, 2. The exhibition tells the story of the artist's family and the birth of the art of Palekh lacquer miniatures, including a detailed presentation of the papier-mâché production process.
Nikolai Dydykin Museum and Workshop, Palekh, Lenin Street, 25a. The museum displays over one hundred works by the sculptor: bas-relief portraits and busts of poets and writers, composers and scientists, cosmonauts, artists, and his family and friends. Nikolai Zinoviev House-Museum, Palekh District, Dyagilevo Village, 26. A memorial museum dedicated to the memory of a remarkable artist and man. The furnishings and objects preserved in the house recall the artist's family's past, their everyday life, and the village, traditionally Russian way of life.
Pavel Korin House-Museum, Palekh, Demyan Bedny Street, 19. The house-museum is the oldest wooden building in Palekh, where the famous artist lived and worked.
