The village of Kinerma is located in Pryazhinsky district of Republic of Karelia, in the western part of the ethnic area Karel-levikov in 6 km to South-West from the village of Vedlozero. The complex of houses and buildings of the village, built before the revolution, is a unique monument of wooden architecture. Thanks to the efforts of local residents, particularly the sisters Nadezhda Kalmykova and Olga Kochevoi, there remains coherent and distinctive character of the old Karelian village. The first written mention of Kinerma refers to 1563, when the land and the peasants on it were included in the scribe books of Obonezhskaya pyatina. At that time the village consisted of 4 yards.
On 10 th of June, 2016 the village of Kinerma was admitted to the Association of the most beautiful villages of Russia.
Currently, in the village of Kinerma there are 16 yards and only 5 permanent residents, but they are actively farming, preserving and maintaining the traditional rural way and visitors can visit the village personally to touch the past. The pride of the village is the 250-year-old chapel of Our lady of Smolensk with the iconostasis of the XVIII century and ten well-preserved houses, the recognized monuments of architecture.
In Kinerma historic barn was restored, where visitors can buy all sorts of souvenirs. The economic part of the building-complex is decorated for dining room, and traditional farmhouse was adapted to ethno-cultural center. And, of course, the traditional carved wooden fence and a well. Special interest usually causes a renovated smoke sauna, where guests of the village can relax.
In Kinerma tourists will talk about the Karelian customs and conduct master classes in folk crafts. Guests will try national dishes and learn to cook traditional Karelian cuisine in a special cooking classes. The services offered by the friendly owners of the village:

House for residents of Vedlozero and all Karel, which is based only on people's money by a non-commercial organization. In Kinerma school students have 30% discount. In the cold period (October to May) it is possible to accept simultaneously no more than 25 people. During the period from 22 December 2016 to 10 January 2017 prices increase by 20%.
